Winter (or is it?)
It’s January 2020 and officially winter, but it’s almost 70 degrees with sunny skies so of course people are outside flying! Paragliders went to Woodstock where the road has been washed out and under repair for a long time. It reopened before the end of the year, but then was closed again due to snow. Hang gliders went to the Pulpit looking for stronger winds.
A few other hardcore pilots have been flying on the freezing days to test out their cold weather gear in preparation for long XC flights to Richmond this Spring. The less hardy pilots are starting their Southerly migration to Colombia at the end of January/February, but I bet we’ll continue flying locally all winter long!
